Welcome to the BB&DBA 

 I am honoured to have been invited to become President from March 2023.As the Association begins its 76th year it is a privilege to be in a position to encourage and support the Sport of Bowls in our area for the forthcoming year.

All of our Affiliated Clubs will have a full programme of matches and events during the Summer Season, however, I hope that least a few of their Members can find space in their busy individual timetables to be available to participate in
some of the BB&DBA games that you will find listed on the Association’s website.

The BB&DBA Competitions schedule is also available on the website, I hope everyone who takes part enjoys their matches, best of luck to you all, I look forward to seeing those who reach our Finals in September.

The Indoor Fixtures list and a sign up form will be available on the Website  towards the end of the Summer.

I have chosen to support a local Charity. The Primrose Centre is located in the refurbished Church premises in the grounds of the Princess Royal Hospital. The Centre offers a (free) range of alternative therapies (by fully trained
practitioners) to anyone undergoing Breast Cancer treatment and also supports those individuals and Members of their family. The Centre is mainly funded by donations.

Finally, I would like to thank all of the Members of the Association’s Management Committee who ensure that the organisation continues to operate efficiently and that our matches and events run smoothly. In addition there are a number of individual’s who help at out at our matches and events, their assistance is invaluable
and much appreciated.
